BOMMENEDE POLDER 7
Nederland, Zeeland
Bommenede Polder is beautiful but remains shallow for a long time. For that reason, it's also a good snorkeling spot. You will see many oyster beds overgrown with orange-colored, colony-forming sea squirts, but the site is also home to crabs, shrimp, mussels and oysters. After swimming out for about 10 minutes, you will reach a somewhat deeper area. At this place the bottom slopes steeply to 8 meters. Bommenede Polder is an excellent alternative if you don't want to go to the busier dive sites. You'll often dive alone with your buddy.
Particulars
Park at Bommenede Polder on the sideway along the unpaved Schapenweg road. Then make a clear mark at the entry point so you can find it back at the end of your dive. Bring your camera. Bommenede Polder is excellent for underwater photography because of its beautiful light falls in the shallow sections.
Warnings
Avoid Bommenede Polder's boating channel. No diving in boating season.
