Going south between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is the imposing Deadalus Reef. It is marked by a lighthouse. Underwater you recognize Deadalus Reef only by one thing: Hammerheads. They live here in large numbers. Besides these hammerheads you can also see other pelagic species. The fish stocks, as you would expect from a remote dive sites are very impressive!

Particulars

The Deadalus Reef is surrounded by huge steep walls that run into the depths for 1000’s of meters. You will most likely make a drift dive here. The strong current to the north takes you past beautiful soft coral beds and fan corals.

Warnings

The Deadalus Reef has some strong currents and is therefore only suitable for experienced divers.
