GROEVE ST. LAURENT
Belgie
Groeve Sint Laurent, also called Crupet or Bauche, is a small cave dive location in the Belgian province of Namur. The mine is located on private property, but is not closed with a fence. However, diving is only allowed under strict conditions. Only a select group of diving clubs has access and occasionally allows guest divers. Not a dive site to just travel to!
Particulars
To reach the St. Laurent quarry, follow Rue de Redeauc in Yvoir, in the direction of Rue de Bauche. Park in front of the river on the right side of the road. The mine is small. Your dive doesn't last longer than ten minutes. Nice to gain experience.
Warnings
Entrance via Association of Flemish Speleologists (VVS) or Belgian Union of Speleologists (UBS). Only cave divers! Only suitable for small groups of one to two buddy's. After a dive visibility is poor for a few days. You park on a sometimes busy road.
