HMS CORIOLANUS
Croatia
HMS Corolianus is a very popular dive wreck near Istria in Croatia. It's the wreck of a British minesweeper from World War II. The ship sank in May 1945. The Corolian is 50 meters long and 8 meters wide. The hull lies mostly upright on the sandy bottom. The ship is still reasonably intact. The ship's bridge at a depth of 20 meters, which is completely covered with fouling, is still easily recognisable, as is the anti-aircraft gun on the aft deck.
Particulars
HMS Corolianus is located west of Novigrad about 11 kilometres from the Istrian coast.
Warnings
HMS Corolianus is partly covered in fishing nets in several places. Very narrow passages. Penetration is only possible by specialised wreck divers.
