KATTENDIJKE TRAP 64A
Nederland, Zeeland
Kattendijke Trap is a fine dive site where there is also something to see at depth. The slope and bottom consist largely of sandy bottoms, interspersed with rocks and nicely overgrown oyster beds. Kattendijke Trap (64A), not to be confused with Kattendijke Parking (64), descend from the waterline at low tide to a depth of 25 meters. Most marine life is spotted between 5 and 20 meters deep. Kattendijke Trap is located at the last staircase along the Wemeldinge/ Kattendijke dike. The dive site is marked with the image of a grey diver on the concrete platform next to the diving staircase.
Particulars
Kattendijke Trap is located west of dive site Kattendijke Parking 64. It's the most western dive site along the dike between Wemeldinge and Kattendijke. Go down the stairs to reach the water. Diving is possible at low and high tide, but it's easier to enter the water at high tide. At low tide an area of about 120 meters falls dry, which will force you to walk over rocks and oysters to reach the water.
Warnings
Kattendijke Trap is difficult to enter at low tide.
