Nieuwe Meer Strand is a nice dive site with an easy entry, an unusual underwater world and reasonable visibility. Dive over the overgrown dump sites full of construction debris, wrecks and boat anchors. Eels, gobies and crabs hide between the concrete blocks, stones and cables.
Particulars
Enter Nieuwe Meer Strand from one of the sandy beaches or use the jetty down the road. Enter the water next to the jetty. Alle entry points have a gradually sloping bottom. The first beach has more parking space and can therefore be more preferable. Dive north toward or around the headland.
Warnings
Consult with anglers in Nieuwe Meer Strand about use of the jetty and water. Diving by compass is difficult due to the debris. Gay meeting place.
