RADIOPLAS
Nederland, Noord Brabant
The Radioplas is a beautiful dive site between the cities of Stevensbeek and Sint Antonis with green areas, densely vegetated banks and lots of marine life. The site has the best visibility from January through September. Diving in the Radioplas is spotting pike, crayfish and schools of perch between the tree roots on the shore. Eels can be spotted at somewhat greater depths. Night diving in the Radioplas is an absolute must. You'll spot even more marine life. Do use your compass, the bottom profile is very confusing. The Radioplas is shallow, easy accessible and suitable for all levels. Trimming and the use of a compass is eminent. Advanced is recommended.
Particulars
The Radioplas has two entry points on the west shore. You can enter the water on the north and west side of the beach. The latter entry is closest to the parking lot and has the best visibility. An undertow sometimes muddies the water at the other entry point. Interesting in the Radioplas is the overgrown bank to the left of the beach.
Warnings
Bad visibility from oktober through december. Good trimming is essential in the Radioplas. The bottom consists of loose sediment that fluffs up quickly. Confusing bottom profile, always use your compass. Consult with anglers present before your dive. Advanced recommended.
