SINT ANNALAND PARKING
Nederland, Zeeland
Sint Annaland Parking is almost as beautiful as the nearby and very popular Sint Annaland Strand. The spot has several interesting areas. Both the dyke wall and the sandy bottom form beautiful habitats with great biodiversity. You can enter the water via a rope or stairs. In front of the rope is a sandy bottom with large stones and oyster beds full of small life. The entry via the stairs, the most beautiful spot, is densly vegetated close to the shore. Look for pipefish, butterfish and other species. Special species in Sint Annaland Parking are cuttlefish and seahorses. Preferably dive at high tide.
Particulars
Sint-Annaland Parking is located near the port of Sint-Annaland, halfway down the Krabbenkreek. This is a narrow, shallow channel in the Eastern Scheldt with a gradually sloping sandy bottom. Sint Annaland Parking has two entry points, one with a rope and one with steps. The rope is closest to the car park. For the stairs, you need to walk a lot further east. Park in the unpaved car park on Nieuwlandseweg, behind holiday park De Krabbenkreek, and walk to the waterfront.
Warnings
Sint Annaland Parking is also a fishing plot. Choose another dive site when fishermen are active. Fairway close to shore. Attach a dive flag in the holder of the stairs. Preferably dive at high tide to avoid a difficult entry at the rope and a high entry and exit at the stairs. The stairs are also slippery at low tide. Car park is unpaved. Bring your own toilet paper to use the portable toilet.
