Supermarket has a lot to offer to you as a diver. Approximately thirty meters to the right of the entry point, you will find a few old cannons at a depth of 3 meters. The drop off starts about 100 meters from the shore and gradually descends to a depth of 35 meters. The reef is beautifully covered with hard and soft corals, wich are at their best between 10 and 15 meters.
Particulars
Supermarket is located on the southeast coast of Bonaire, just south of the (northern) seawater inlet bridge. The entry and exit are located on a small beach that consists of large coral stones. Enter the water in the middle of the beach to visit this beautiful supermarket underwater. What is there to find? Beautiful coral and lots of fish. Also look in the holes and caves on the edge of the drop off where, apart from many fish, also lobsters and moray eels can be found.
Warnings
Dive safe at Supermarket. Always book a local guide. Diving is only possible under calm weather conditions and with sufficient experience. There can be a very strong current along the drop off. You will notice that when you drift away sideways in relation to the starting point, while swimming out.
