VALKENBURGSE MEER
Nederland, Zuid Holland
The Valkenburgse Meer, between Leiden and Valkenburg, is a very accessible dive site with a large parking lot and a varied visibility. The dive site is located next to the A44 near the exit, Leiden. Dive along a long the steeply sloping clay wall. It falls apart at several places into huge clay terraces. Vegetation is limited, but the clay wall is home to lots of gobies, eels, pike and much more. The varied visibility is probably the biggest disadvantage here. Still, it can reach up to 10 meters, if you're lucky. The name Valkenburgs Meer originates from the nearby railway museum.
Particulars
