Den Osse Nieuwe Kerkweg is one of Lake Grevelingens most popular dive sites. Specific for Den Osse Nieuwe Kerkweg are the reefballs, concrete plates and sandy bottom. Marine life is divers and the visibility is good. Lobsters and crabs seek shelter in the reefballs and flat fish burry themselves in the sand. Enter the water via the jetty. Turn right (east) of the jetty to find the reefballs. Descend to fifteen meters to locate the concrete plates.
Particulars
Den Osse Nieuwe Kerkweg can easily be entered via a jetty with stairs. Enter the water to the right (east) of the jetty to find the reef balls. This is also where the concrete slabs are located; they slope down to a depth of 15 meters. Directly in front of the jetty is an old breakwater. This slopes down to the concrete slabs. Den Osse Nieuwe Kerkweg is also a fun night dive site, you can see eels and lobsters on the loose at night. When night diving, attach a lamp to the jetty.
