Amager Strandpark is one of the best known and easiest shore dive sites around Copenhagen. It's a popular dive site for relaxed recreational city diving. In addition, Amager Strandpark is ideal for practice dives and night dives. The bottom consists of rocks and grass zones. There are also some objects, such as tubes, sculptures and practice structures. Amager Strandpark also has a 200-meter-long artificial reef in the shape of a mermaid. Species you'll encounter in Amager Strandpark are: Crabs, gobies, eels, mussels and schools of small fish.
Particulars
Amager Strandpark is located on the island of Amager, directly on the Øresund and close to the city centre. Park at Jollevej. This is the street next to Amager Strandpark. Dive from the beach or pier and follow a 90-degree course until you reach some metal arches marking the start of the dive course.
Warnings
Dive at Amager Strandpark only in the dive area, cordoned off with a yellow ball line. Cold water. Beach guests in summer. Beware of kayakers, suppers and swimmers. Use of an SMB is recommended. Wind can greatly affect visibility. Limited parking space on
