CATHEDRAL
Philippines
Cathedral is one of the beautiful dive sites at the Filipino Balicasag Island. It lies right in front of Balicasag Island Public Beach. Dive along the large wall full of holes and crevices, with mackerels, sergeant majors, snappers and barracudas as permanent residents. The name Cathedral originates from the light reflection in one of the caverns.
Particulars
Cathedral is a boat dive site. Start your dive with the wall on your left and head southwest. The wall is lushly overgrown and forms a great habitat for many small species. Large species, such as barracudas and mackerels, move away from the wall in large schools.
Warnings
Cathedral is an easy dive site, suitable for divers of all levels. It's a great snorkel site as well.
