Fam Jetty is a quiet, sheltered dive site near Raja Ampat's Fam Islands. Your dive takes place around the jetty piles of a jetty. The posts and sandy bottom in front of the jetty are home to exceptionally rich macro environments. The posts are especially beautiful to see. They are completely overgrown with sponges, algae and soft corals. Due to the low current and limited depth, Fam Jetty is also ideal as a mock dive, check dive or night dive.
Particulars
Fam Jetty is a shore dive site. The entry point is right at the village jetty on Fam. The walking distance from the parking area to the entry point is no more than 20 metres. You can enter the water from the jetty or via the bank next to the jetty posts.
Warnings
At Fam Jetty, visibility can deteriorate quickly. Good buoyancy and frog kick desirable. At night dive point dive light upwards and make current bubbles. This makes you highly visible to boats. Once on the surface, hold dive light above your head and illu
