FRITSBERG
Nederland, Zeeland
Dive site Fritsberg is a mountain of stones in the Eastern Scheldt. Fritsberg lies in a current channel and is therefore amply supplied with fresh, nutrient-rich water. This results in a great biodiversity, especially early in spring. The crabs and lobsters in Fritsberg are extra large and you may spot as many as twelve species of nudibranchs in one single dive. Dive down the anchor chain and circle around the mountain until you reach the top. The site is named after Frits, skipper of the diving vessel Rijnland III.
Particulars
Dive site Fritsberg is located right opposite the dive site Vuilnisbelt in the middle of the channel. The site can only be reached by boat.
Warnings
Make a free ascent from the top of the Fritsberg mountain, if you're unable to find the anchor chain at the end of your dive.
