Güvercin Island, or pigeons island, is an ideal dive site in Kaş for snorkellers, beginners and divers who haven't dived in a while. The pigeons, after which this site is named, are gone but there is plenty to see underwater. You dive in a sheltered bay with all kinds of objects, such as ancient old broken amphorae. Güvercin Island is also home to the wooden wreck, La Villa, at 21 meters. Güvercin Island's marine life is diverse. Large groupers and parrotfish roam around, whil gobies find shelter in the holes in the soft sand.
