LA LAJITA

La Lajita in Fuerteventura, Spain, is a dive site with two completely different underwater worlds. The westside consists of a fairly flat sandy bottom where sometimes large stingrays can be seen. The east side is a more rocky area full of cliffs, boulders and a few caves you can dive through. Common species in La Lajita are groupers, parrotfish, barracuda and octopus.
Particulars
La Lajita is easy accessible. Park close to the entry point, then easily walk from the rocky shore into the water. Now dive west or east for two totally different dives.
Warnings
La Lajita can be reached via a dirt road. 4WD recommended. There may be pleasure boats around. La Lajita is a recreational beach.
