LAC BLEU ROEUX
Frankrijk
Lac Bleu Roeux is an old chalk quarry at which you can dive beautifully. Visibility is usually good and there is plenty to see. Pike, carp, perch and crayfish are regular residents. There are also some car wrecks in the water. Look for the wreck of the Citroën, Lada, Renault 104 and Renault R5. The shallow waters of Lac Blue warm up quickly in summer and have a clear, light blue colour. A dive in Lac Blue can be combined well with a dive in the Dour quarry. Lac Blue is managed by diving club CPSMA. Sign up before diving. The site is only open on weekends. Take notice of opening hours. Paid diving.
Particulars
Lac Bleu Roeux is located just across the Belgian border between Arras and Douai. The water can be entered on the western side of the quarry from a set of steps with a handrail.
Warnings
Sign in before diving at Lac Bleu Roeux. Take notice of opening hours. Paid diving. The site is divided into two zones. The eastern part of the quarry is off-limits to divers.
