/ 1 / 1

To find Gurbel Reef simply go directly out of Mellieha Bay, between Dahlet ix-Xilep and Ras il-Griebeg. This reef is named after the Maltese name for brown meagre which is found here in large numbers. Here you will find some striking and unusual rock formations amidst a tumble of large and small boulders, all of which are covered in a profusion of alga.

Particulars

The reef is almost exactly in the middle of the beginning of the bay where the bay debouches into the sea.
