Belgie
Rochefontaine stands for good visibility, lots of fish and plenty of objects. Made up of several plateaus, this old marble quarry is full of sunken objects and old mining tools, such as a drill head and a pump. Notable is the huge drilling tower in the middle of the quarry, protruding far above the water. A fun object to visit is the fighter jet in the north corner of the quarry. It's a 1957 Hawker-Hunter fighter jet. On the plateau at 36 meters lies a tugboat and on the plateau at 26 meters a sailboat. Most of the fish in Rochefontaine are tame. They live on the shallow plateaus. Pay attention to opening hours! Book in advance. Paid diving.
Particulars
RocheFontaine is reached via a steeply sloping path. Get ready in the car park with stunning views over the quarry. Then walk down towards the entry point. Now start looking for the various objects. Free divers can use a special free diving platform.
