RUBIS WRECK
Frankrijk
The Rubis is a French submarine from the 1930s. It is one of the most beautiful diving wrecks in France. The Rubis has an illustrious wartime history. It served in World War II under the Free French (Forces Navales Françaises Libres), playing an important role in sabotage operations in the Mediterranean. The Rubis is still fully intact and lies upright, on the sandy bottom at a maximum depth of 40 metres. The boat was sunk after the war as a training object for the French navy and diving wreck for sports divers.
Particulars
The Rubis can be reached by boat from the ports of Cavalaire-sur-Mer, La Croix-Valmer or Saint-Tropez.
Warnings
Deep dives on the Rubis take place only with a guide
