Easy dive site

Sint Annaland Strand is a beautiful and popular dive site with some of the most beautiful bottom vegetation in Zeeland. The site also has plenty of facilities nearby. Sint Annaland has a colorful, gently sloping bottom full of life forms. It's also a site with great contrasts. Sandy areas and colorful bottom vegetation alternate. Sint Annaland is home to cuttlefish, pipefish, hermit crabs, crabs and much more. Sometimes you'll also encouter seahorses. Along the shell edge, an area familiar to many, you can find peacock tubeworms and sea dahlias. Dive at low tide. That’s when you’ll have the best visibility, and you can let the current carry you back to the entry point.

Particulars

Sint Annaland Strand is located near Sint Annaland harbor, halfway down the Krabbenkreek. This is a narrow, shallow channel in the Oosterschelde with a gradually sloping sandy bottom. Park on Havenweg, near the beach an walk towards the waterfront.

Warnings

The entry point at Sint Annaland is close to the fairway. Don't make free ascents of more than 6 meters. The area is also a fishing ground. Don't enter the water when the fisherman is active. Warn other water sports enthusiasts such as suppers. Place a di
