The Helford River is a beautiful dive site in the southwest of England with an abundance of life. Diving takes place in the estuary of the Helford River. Marine life is teeming, especially along the riverbed. Common species are hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, spider crabs, scallops, sharks and much more.

Dive site Helford River is reached by boat. It's best to dive at Helford River at incoming tide, drifting towards the estuary.

Warnings

Beware of boat traffic. The Helford River is an official fishing area. Taking scallops with you is considered theft.
