HET BLAUWE MEERTJE WEERT

Het Blauwe Meertje Weert is a dive site in Limburg with excellent visibility, good accessibility and some facilities. There is also an underwater course in Het Blauwe Meertje with several objects, such as a tugboat and a car. Other objects are some pipes, a house and a steel structure. Furthermore, diving platforms have been sunk at various depths and along the southern shore there are a number of underwater forests. Het Blauwe Meertje Weert is a site under development. More facilities are expected. Underwater life is also yet to unfold. Opening in May 2026 (subject to change). Paid diving.
Particulars
Het Blauwe Meertje is located in the IJzeren Man area in Weert, close to the Belgian border. You can park quite close to the boarding point. You then walk to the jetty where you enter the water. The jetty extends to a depth of 3 metres. After that, the bottom slopes fairly quickly.
Warnings
Blue Lake's official opening date still unknown. Life, facilities and underwater course still under development. Adhere to applicable rules. Paid diving.
