Mangel Halto, Tugboat is an excellent dive spot to start your diving adventure on Aruba. It's a bowl-shaped dive site with the wreck of an old tugboat at a depth of 12 meters. Although the water may look a bit rough on the surface in the shallow area, circumstances underwater are usually wonderfully quiet. Mangel Halto is located behind the coastal reef of Aruba where there is no current of significance. After a dive in the bowl you can make a second dive outside the coastal reef.
Particulars
There's a small square at the dive site, with a sign 'Mangel Halto', where you can build your set. Walk with your dive kit on over the footbridge to the small beach on your right hand side and put on your fins about 10 meters from the shore. Now snorkel to the edge of the bowl to descend.
Warnings
Don't use the platform to enter the water. Pleasure boating, especially speedboats. Take a deco buoy with you.
