Marriot is the house reef of the Curaçao Marriot hotel. The dive site is known for its seahorses. They are regularly spotted, as well as octopuses, scorpion fish and parrot fish. If you want to dive comfortably under quiet conditions, then Marriot is the dive site for you.
Particulars
Always register first at the diving school for a dive at Marriot. Then enter the water from the beautiful, white sandy beach. Make some last preparations in the sheltered area, behind the stone breakwater. At this place you can also enjoy snorkeling. The seahorses are usually found in the shallows. The reef slopes gradually and consists mainly of hard corals. The drop-off lies at a depth of 10 meters.
Warnings
Marriot has few hazards, but beware of pleasure boating as soon as you leave the area behind the breakwater.
