NOORD Aa
Nederland, Zuid Holland
Noord Aa is a dive site in the Zoetermeerse Plas in the province South Holland. There is generally less diving in Noord Aa than in Duikpark Zoetermeer on the south side. Underwater you'll find peat walls, vegetation, a few wrecks and plenty of marine life. The site especially comes to life at night when the pike start hunting and the eels emerge. Noord Aa is a dive spot with very variable visibility where you always need your diving lamp. Dive preferably in spring or autumn.
Particulars
Enter Noord Aa from the grassy shore or the jetty. Divers sometimes enter the water at the eastern beach but it can be very crowded on summer days. Dive along the reed banks, peet formations and car wrecks. Both cars are right in front of the entry point at a depth of about 4 meters and are used by the Fire Department for practicing.
Warnings
Noord Aa has some unstable overhangs. Be careful. Very variable visibility. Always bring your dive lamp.
