Reis Magos is a beautiful dive site on the Portuguese island, Madeira. Along the rock walls of this beautiful site you'll encounter seahorses, octopuses, moray eels, lizard fish, cleaner shrimps and much more. Reis Magos is formed by a rocky wall that begins at a depth of 6 meters and extends along the coast to a depth of 16 meters, where a sandy plateau begins.
Particulars
You can enter the water at Reis Magos via steps. Underwater you'll enjoy large rock formations, beautiful sandy plateaus and different species. The most marine life congregates itself along the rocky walls and near the rocks on the bottom. These are the domains of parrotfish, wrasse and octopus and sometimes even seahorses and frogfish. On the sandy bottoms, you'll mostly encounter flatfish and rays.
Warnings
Reis Magos can be visited by pleasure boats. Use a surface buoy if needed. Sometimes strong currents and high waves that can make it difficult to exit the water.
