VALKENELA
Croatia
Valkenela is a dive site in Kraoë that is only accessible via the Adriatic Dive Centre. The site is ideal for training dives and new divers. There is a line you can follow from 3.5 meters to 6.5 metees, after which you continue your dive. The start of the route is barren. A lot of training takes place there. Further on, you’ll encounter more and more marine life. Species you’ll see at Valkenela include sea apples, shrimps, crabs, cuttlefish and, occasionally, a seahorse.
Particulars
On arrival at Valkenela, please inform the campsite staff that you are there for the diving centre. Drive through the campsite to the water’s edge, where you can park for free. You’ll enter the water via a boat ramp with non-slip grating.
Warnings
Watch out for boat traffic at Valkenela. Access is via the diving centre only.
