Cable Bay is a simple dive site with varying visibility and a predominantly sandy bottom that is especially suitable for novice divers. There is no more to see than sand, vegetation and stones. The environment however is fascinating. Enjoy your first snorkeling or scuba diving experiences in a great environment.
Particulars
Cable Bay is accessible from the shore. Park your car at Cable Road and enter the water from the boat ramp. The site lies between Pepin Island and the South Island which are both connected by a narrow strip of land. On the bay is a small settlement 18 kilometers northeast of the town of Nelson. It's a tourist area where all kinds of sports are practiced, from hiking and kayaking to swimming and mountain biking.
