KLOPEINER SEE
Oostenrijk
The Klopeiner See is an extraordinary dive site because of its remarkably warm water. A water temperature of 24 degrees in spring is not unusual. This is why it's sometimes called the warmest lake in Europe. How is this possible? Lake Klopeiner has very stable water layers that hardly mix with each other. As a result, the water in the upper water layers warms up particularly quickly. Visibility in the Klopeiner See is good and there is also plenty to see, including an underwater forest and large catfish. Day or annual pass required. Take note of opening hours. Paid diving.
Particulars
Lake Klopein can be entered via several entry points with steps. Many divers enter the water with a shorty. Underwater lies a clear environment. Directly in front of the entry point is a practice platform, with not much further the first trees of the underwater forest.
Warnings
To dive in the Klopeiner See, a day or annual pass is required. Take note of opening times. Paid diving.
