SHARK POINT
Kenya
Shark Point is one of the most beautiful dive sites in Kenya's Mombasa Marine National Park. The site lives up to its name. Shark Point is best known for its white tip reef sharks. You'll see more of these territorial predators gliding across the reef. Other common species at Shark Point are rays groupers, triggerfish, moray eels and leaf fish. The seafloor consists mostly of shells and sand to a depth of up to 25 meters.
Particulars
Shark Point is located near the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa Mombasa. The site can only be reached by boat. Shark Point is located in the outer reef. After descending to about 12 meters a sloping reef appears, after which you reach the actual Shark Point.
Warnings
Visibility at Shark Point may decline during July and August due to windy weather conditions. Beginners, guided dives only.
