Steinbruch Hunsfels is an old limestone quarry in Stromberg in Germany with terraced walls and a maximum depth of 54 meters. The limestone plant was shut down in 2010 and is now only visited by divers. The diving quarry is suitable for beginners, experienced divers and technical divers. Visibility is usually good and can reach over 10 meters. There are three different dive zones where you encounter steep walls, rock formations, factory equipment, a sailing boat, an old telephone exchange and several traffic signs. Also special is the old access road to the area that lies on the south side of the quarry. Paid Diving.

Particulars

Steinbruch Hunsfels is easy accessible. Sign up at the dive center at the southwest corner of the quarry and purchase a day pass that will allow you to dive all that you can. The experience starts at the diving school's nearby pontoon after a short briefing. Two steel stairs lead to the respective dive sites. Near the pontoon are two practice platforms at 8 and 10 meters depth. The steepest walls are 50 meters high or more and can be found on the north side.
