Süplinger Canyon is a beautiful diving quarry with steep walls, some wrecks, large rocks, cable reels and much more. In the middle of Süplinger Canyon is an air-filled diving bell. The site is quite fishy, with sturgeon, catfish and freshwater jellyfish being the most prominent species. The freshwater jellyfish can be seen from September through December. There are also a number of practice platforms in the water. These are marked with buoys and connected with lines. Süplinger Canyon is a former quarry. Always register in advance. Paid diving. Pay attention to opening hours.
Particulars
Süplinger Canyon is located just outside Magdeburg in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The parking lot can be reached via a bumpy dirt road after which you have to walk about 150 meters to the stairs that lead to the entry point.
