TURTLE REEF
Cayman Islands
Turtle Reef is the ideal dive site to spot turtles. The dive site is marked by a buoy about 100 meters out of the shore. Turtle Reef is preceded by a sandy plateau where you can spot squid in the shallow water. The site itself is a small wall that descends sharply to a depth of 18 meters. This is where your dive takes place. You'll come across lots of beautiful coral, turtles and here and there an octopus.
Particulars
Turtle Reef is located on the west coast of Grand Cayman. The reef is located in a bay between two restaurants with a small parking lot. Park here and walk to the water for a visit to Turtle Reef. Get used to the water in the bay and test your lamp, then descend along the wall.
Warnings
There is a lot of boat traffic at Turtle Reef. The use of a surface buoy is recommended.
