Open for scuba divers in the summer of 2019.

The Kingdom of Bahrain opens the largest environmentally friendly underwater theme park in the world. The park covers an area of more than 100,000 square meters and will accommodate the largest sunken Boeing 747 ever. Furthermore, all kinds of sculptures and artifacts will be sunk, which are exclusively eco-friendly. Diving will be possible in the summer of 2019.

The ecopark will also be home to a replica of a traditional Bahraini merchant's house. The details of the project were announced on Saturday by the personal representative of His Majesty King Hamad, chairman of the Supreme Council for the Environment. Have you ever dived in the Dubai area? Dennis van den Broek was there recently. He helped us add the first dive sites in this area on Divers Guide, including Dibba Rock and Inchcape 1.
