Barney's Rock, named after a local diver, is located at a beautiful rock formation off the coast of New Zealand. The rock slopes down to a sandy bottom where you'll find a wide variety of marine life. Barney's Rock is not deep and easy accessible and therefore suitable for all kinds of divers.

Particulars

Barney's Rock is located near the town of Peketa, just south of Kaikoura, where a large seal colony lives. The dive site is easily accessible by boat or from the shore. enter the water in search of marine life. With a bit of luck, you may come across a few playful seals.

Warnings

Barney's Rock is an easy dive spot but currents can sometimes increase a bit.
