Amathunta is an unusual dive site in the Limassol region of the island of Cyprus. The site consists of a vast artificial reef made of concrete blocks. It was constructed in 2009 as the largest artificial reef on the island. Over an area of 2.5 kilometers, there are one hundred concrete blocks with four pyramids forming a square. Amathunta attracts groupers, moray eels, bream, squid and hawksbill turtles.

Particulars

Amathunta is accessible both from shore and by boat. The dive site is most interesting between 18 and 35 meters of depth.
