The El Dragonera is a Spanish cargo ship that was sunk as an artificial reef off the coast of Tarragona, Spain, on December 22, 1994, as a tourist attraction. The El Dragonera is part of the Underwater Gardens Park of Tarragona. This is a sustainable coastal tourism theme park that allows for a unique interaction between humans, nature and the ocean. The park was built on the initiative of the Societat d'Exploracions Submarines and opened on June 3, 1995.
