GRAVE'S LIGHT
Verenigde Staten, Massachusetts
Grave's Light is the island of Boston that reaches deepest into the sea. It's a fun diving area at least an hour's boat ride from Boston Harbor. The island and lighthouse have a rich history, dating back to 1905. Once you arrive on location, it is easy diving here. A sandy, slowly sloping bottom provides access to a lush dive world filled with kelp, rocks, lobsters and the occasional curious seal.
Particulars
Grave's Light can be reached by charter from Boston Harbor. Enter the water from the boat and dive. The island itself is not accessible. Lobsters can be spotted between the rocks on the shore. For an encounter with a seal you have to look a bit further down.
Warnings
Grave's Light can be rough in windy conditions. Make sure to dive on the landward side of the island in strong inland winds.
