SCHINARIA CAVE
Griekenland
Skinaria Cave, also known as Twin Chimneys, is a fun cave dive site. Non cave divers can enjoy the area just outside the cave. The cave itself is about eight meters wide and seventeen meters deep. During the day you will find an abundance of shrimps in the cave. The system also has two wide and two very narrow chimneys.
Particulars
The best way to reach Skinaria Cave or Twin Chimneys, is by boat. The route to the cave is a bit long and not very interesting. The area just outside the cave is beautiful with an almost vertical wall that descends from 7 meters to 20 meters. The bottom consists of sand and seagrass.
Warnings
Beware of pleasure boats and old fishing nets at Skinaria Cave. There is a lot of sand in the cave. Make sure to trim well and don't go in with too many divers.
