ELEPHANT CAVE
Griekenland
Elephant Cave is a fascinating dive site and probably the best dive site Crete has to offer. The cave consists of two beautiful domes or caverns where you can ascend. There are beautiful stalactites and stalagmites everywhere and the cave contains fossilized remains of animals. Elephant Cave gets its name from the fossil remains of an elephant. The loose bones have been removed and taken to a museum. The highest point of Elephant Cave is 13 meters above sea level in chamber two. The cave is 126 meters wide and up to 4 meters deep. There can be a seal in the cave. Give the animals space.
