MILFORD HAVEN
Italy
Milford Haven lies off the coast of Genoa, at depths between 33 and 80 meters. This makes the wreck suitable for experienced sport divers, tech divers and experienced trimix divers. Entering the wreck is only possible with the right licenses and sufficient experience. The MT Haven or Amoco Milford Haven, as the ship is also called, was a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier). The MT harbour exploded on 11 April 1991 during the unloading of crude oil. The ship sank three days later, releasing 50,000 tons of crude oil into the Mediterranean Sea.
