Pixie Pinnacle is a 27 meter tall pinnacle in the Great Barrier Reef, southeast from Lizard Island. Pixie Pinnacle is a live-aboard-only location that once was blessed with an amazing biodiversity. Nowadays it exhibits signs of wear and tear but a nutrient-rich tidal flow still nourishes a riot of species.
Particulars
Pixie Pinnacle lies 160 kilometers from Port Douglas. The site can only be reached by boat. Dive along the huge pillar which is completely covered with corals and attracts dozens of species.
Warnings
Pixie Pinnacle is a deep dive site with sometimes an increasing current. Pay attention to the current conditions.
