THE ELBOW
Belize
The Elbow is one of the most popular dive sites of Belize. Especially the great biodiversity and the beauty of the coral make this dive site special. However, The Elbow is not an easy dive. Excellent buoyancy and controlled air consumption are absolute requirements here. The Elbow is a dive site where you will encounter the large pelagic species. On exceptional days, schools of sometimes more than fifty rays will delight even the most experienced divers.
Particulars
The Elbow will surprise you. Once in the water you will be taken directly by the current to deeper water. Snappers and jackets are foraging all around you, while big groupers roam the coral in depth.
Warnings
The sea at The Elbow is often quite rough and the current is variable. Prepare yourself well with the help of local guides or diving schools.
