The Blindsee is a diving site at an altitude of 1093 meters in the Austrian village of Biberwier, north of the Fernpass. The underwater landscape of roots and trees, combined with the high fish population and the incredible visibility make diving here special. The water temperature in the summer months rises to 18 degrees in the upper water layers to about 8 degrees in the deeper parts. Buy an access token, or jeton, in the nearby town of Lermoos to gain access to the entry point. You can also fill your diving cylinder in Lermoos. Paid diving.
Particulars
The Blindsee is easily accessible. Throw in your token to access the parking lot via a small winding road. From there it's about a 100 meter walk to the entry point. You will be diving with good visibility over roots and trees surrounded by trout, whitefish, pike and zander. Most of the fish don't seem to be shy. You'll also encounter snails, freshwater sponges and fungus beetles, among others.
Warnings
Diving the Blindsee is not free. Buy an admission token or jeton in Lermoos. With it you can dive as much as you want. You will be diving at an altitude of 1093 meters. Keep this in mind.
