Walchensee Steinbruch is a dive site in the Walchensee near the German town of Jachenau. The site consists mainly of a cascading reef of large boulders. Dive over the jagged walls full of crevices, holes and niches until you reach a small steep wall with overhangs at 30 meters. Even deeper, you'll also encounter some objects and statues. Permanent inhabitants of Walchensee Steinbruch are trout, eels and bass. From late April to mid-May the site is crowded by numerous toads. Walchensee is located between Munich and Mittenwald and lies at an altitude of 803 meters.

Walchensee Steinbruch is located on the south shore of the Walchensee. Walchensee Steinbruch is easy to enter via stairs. There is also a bench close near the entry point.
Warnings
Walchensee Steinbruch can be reached via the toll road to Jachenau. Be aware of the various (seasonal) prohibitions. The site lies at an altitude of 803 meters.
