Dour is a small dive site with many underwater objects. Dour is also characterized by various habitats. The banks of the quarry are partially formed by the branches and roots of old tree stumps. This area is home to large numbers of freshwater crayfish, that hide between the tree roots. Dour is a former limestone quarry. Only divers affiliated with VZW Appel and their guests are allowed.
The water of Carrière de Dour is accessible from a jetty. The clear water is except for freshwater crayfish home to sturgeon, carp and large pike. What else do you encounter in the Dour? The quarry counts several cars, speedboats, sailboats, bicycles, a motorcycle and a sailboat. The sailboat is a two-master with a length of 14 meters and width of 4.2 meters.
