CHUMPON PINNACLE

Chumpon Pinnacle is the only dive site in Koh Tao where whale sharks can be seen. April and May are the best months, but they also come here in September. Chumpon Pinnacle consists of a solitary long pillar, with a huge swim-through on the south side. The entire top of the pillar is covered with beautiful anemones and the many crevices offer shelter to lobsters, moray eels, scorpion fish and eels.

Chumpon Pinnacle lies in open sea, 11 kilometers from Koh Tao. Enter the water from the boat and enjoy. Not only whale shark visit this spot, you may encounter hunting sailfish and large shoals of barracuda as well. Chumpon Pinnacle is a dynamic dive site where you'll experience some of your best diving.
Warnings
The water is rich with plankton which sometimes leads to limited visibility.
