Groeve Awan (Awan quarry) is a small mine in the Belgian province of Namur. The dive site is situated near Groeve Crupet, you can visit both sites on the same day. Groeve Awan is quite unknown. The mine is only used in the summer months as a water source by farmers in the area. Don't just go diving here. First contact diving clubs that are familiar with this location.
Particulars
In Groeve Awan you can make a free ascent, but only with low water. So be very careful. There is a line in the quarry that has been specially installed for cave diving. Groeve Awan can only be reached via a very bad sand road. An SUV is not an unnecessary luxury.

Only cave divers. Don't just go diving here, first contact diving clubs that are familiar with this location. Bad road surface, especially when it rains.
